What Exactly Is Music Production?
Many parents have heard the term music production but aren’t quite sure what it means.
Simply put, music production is the process of creating music using a computer. It combines elements of songwriting, recording, arranging sounds and using technology to turn ideas into finished songs.
At SoundLab Jr, students learn how modern music is made by creating their own beats, melodies and songs using professional music software.
Music production can also complement traditional music education. Whether a child sings or plays piano, guitar, drums, violin or another instrument, learning how music is arranged and recorded can deepen their understanding of music as a whole.
